Description
Advantage Database Replication is available for Advantage Database Server 8.0 and greater as separately licensed functionality. Advantage Replication is server-to-server functionality & requires each server within the replication environment to be running a licensed copy of Advantage Database Server. To enable, Advantage Replication, simply purchase Advantage Replication for the corresponding user-count of the Advantage Database Server on which replication will be enabled. Advantage Replication must be purchased for each server within the replication environment.
Replication provides the capability to automatically distribute changes from tables in one database to tables in another database without any work required on the part of client applications. Replication allows for a consistent view of a database to be maintained across multiple Advantage Database Servers.
Replication is support on MS Windows NT/2000/2003 and Linux. Netware is not supported.
Advantage replication is not a synchronization process. Replication provides the ability to distribute table changes from one database to another. It does not verify that the tables are synchronized.
